Shuttle: A Bus Booking Application

Shuttle is a bus booking app designed for University of Ghana students to schedule rides, track shuttles, and check seat availability in real time reducing wait times and ensuring on-time arrivals.
As the UX Designer, I led the end-to-end design process, from user research and wireframing to prototyping and high-fidelity mockups.
Feedback from usability testing showed that students found the app valuable for reducing uncertainty, improving scheduling, and making campus transportation more seamless and reliable.
1
Goals
Students at the University of Ghana often found themselves waiting endlessly for shuttles, unsure of when they’d arrive or if there’d even be a seat available.
To fix this, I designed an app that lets them schedule rides, track shuttles in real time, and check seat availability, making campus commutes faster and more reliable.
How I tackled the project...
2
Research
To validate the problem, I surveyed 300 students to understand their struggles with campus shuttles. The results confirmed key frustrations; no real-time tracking, long wait times, and overcrowded buses, highlighting the need for a better shuttle system.
4
Stakeholder Approval
I conducted usability testing with students to refine ride scheduling, shuttle tracking, and seat availability. Their feedback helped improve the design, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience tailored to real user needs.
3
Solution
I structured key features, tested wireframes with students, and refined the design into a high-fidelity prototype that improved shuttle tracking, scheduling, and seat availability.
